Mythbusters
This was shot a few months back, but I’m posting it now after the announcement that Mythbusters is coming to an end.
I was excited to see them come to the Rilato in Joliet, IL. I was living at home attending college when the show initially aired and it quickly found a place as something everyone wanted to watch. Even if sometimes watching in the earlier years was yelling at the tv screen on how they messed up an experiment.
A couple years later after I had moved out and mythbusters with being rerun in massive quantities on essentially any weekend, my dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor. As the year progressed with dissolving levels of of interaction due to failing health one thing we could still do was watch Mythbusters and I could still see the smile on his face when it was on.
So it does leave me a little sad to see the show end after all this time, and it meant something special to me in a way that wasn’t expected. I know this had little to do with shooting this live event, but it was a story, however brief I made it, that I wanted to share. I can safely assure that there will not be tears while posting about any other item.
